Not by Arms Alone: A Novel of a Us Navy Destroyer in the Pacific Theater, 1941-1945 ReviewOne of the most entertaining and true to life experiences of the US Navy during WWII, even though some parts are semi-fictional - probably to protect the innocent. A must for a veteran of any branch of service to read. It is hard to put this book down once you pick it up. I am currently awaiting another copy which is on backorder ( a gift for my cousin, who is also a Navy man). Right now he is reading my copy, which he will mail back to me when he finishes reading it. Probably the best book I have ever read - normally I do not re-read a book, but this one I have been though many times, browsing through chapters which have entered my thoughts at the time. I first got the book as soon as it was published having heard about it on TV Station KUSK in Prescott, AZ.
