For a veteran, with a brother and a brother-in-law who were C.O.'s, the author lucidly covered conditions during and after WWII about which I was unaware. I was "captured" within minutes and couldn't put the book down until the end of the story. The author is a good story-teller, at least the story about his personal experiences.
