TEXAS MEDICINE ReviewIf you liked the movie "An Officer and a Gentleman" then you will like this book. It is similar, but set on a wider stage of Texas, Saudi Arabia, and California rather than just a single military flight school. This book has it all: war and peace, love and hate, marriage and divorce, murder and lifesaving, adultery and fidelity, but not so much that you lose track of it all. It's amazing that so much can be so effortlessly fit into just one book that also develops even many minor characters. Many of the scenes are so real that you suspect the author walked the walk, for instance, the reactions and attitudes of young children caught in a bitter divorce, or having to deal with the surreal situation of being drummed out of the Navy for a minor neck pain. The behind the scenes medical workings are very insightful. The Amazon write up says it's a combo of Dallas meets M*A*S*H and that's not far off. It's great, quick read.TEXAS MEDICINE Overview
