The Message//REMIX 2.0 Vintage Brown/Navy ReviewIt's hard to give a personal review of a Bible because reading the Bible is an intensley personal thing, but here's my experience:
I admit, I was skeptical about this translation but I kept picking it up out of curiosity at a friend's house and found that I had a hard time setting it down. I've read the NIV and the NAS straight through over the years but it felt more like a duty than for pleasure. With the Message, I find myself reading the Bible for pleasure for the first time since right after becoming a Christian.
I recomend it to anyone wishing to see scripture from a new perspective. I just reads so well!
1st and 2nd Kings read like novels. The Gospels are so REAL it's creepy. And the Psalms feel like poetry that FLOWS instead of the disjointed feeling I had before in other translations.
