SOG Medic: Stories from Vietnam and Over the Fence ReviewFrank Greco's forward really puts this book into perspective. Parnar filled a staggering number of roles while at CCC: dispensary medic, chase medic, Hatchet Force medic, and as if that wasn't enough, he also ran recon with RTs Texas and Ohio, and was a strap-hanger with RT Florida. Yet during combat, when most were hunkered down and fighting for their lives, Parnar was the guy who was fighting to save lives. The roles and responsibilities of a combat medic sometimes go largely unnoticed. Although this book seems a little short in length, it makes up for that in content. There are also a number of photos within these pages that have not been published before.
