It sure brought back many memories of the great adventure. You did an absolutely fantastic job of writing and creating it. This had to be a labor of love that sparked all the hard work that you put into it.

You did a marvelous job responding to your grandson's question and provided him a document that he will treasure and pass to his children and grandchildren.
At the same time, you put together a valuable addition to the archives at the Seabee Museum at Port Hueneme. The files are filled with official reports and other materials, but only rarely are they able to add something telling the story from the perspective of the individual Seabee.June 23, 2010 - John J. I was very impressed as a former Marine In-Country with the
1st Marine Division August 1966 to July 1967. I will never forget how excited we all were to see our new huts built by the Seabees. It was like a resort compared to where we came from.
