Memoirs of a Navy Brat: A Girl's Adventure During the Depression and World War II ReviewI just finished reading this book. It is a wonderful story about a pre-teenager living in Oahu when Pearl Harbor was bomb. The family had to relocate and also moved many times during the author's teenage years. It is amazing how upbeat and strong the family remained during long absences of a military father. The author gives very accurate accounts of Navy ships in WWII. Mrs. Bev Moglich also includes fun stories about traveling by train with her grandfather in CA and also across country to Massachusetts. This book gives the reader a glimpse of what it was like growing up in the 1940's and 50's.
